Monday and Tuesday were really smokey out from some late summer lightning fires so we didn’t do much mound building. Yesterday, though, we went nuts with the old hay and compost and other such yuckiness that is soooo good for your plants.
I think we (the husband) covered the logs with 14 wheelbarrows full of not-quite-composted goat poo and old hay that they wasted. Goats are horrible wasters of hay but at least it makes good plant food.
